Suwanee Greenway

The Richard Trice Trail runs 1.5 miles from Suwanee Elementary to Martin Farm Road.  The trail is a great place for walking, running, biking and roller skating.  Click here for directions.
The trail is a great place for young kids just learning to ride their bikes.  Long straight sections plus the soft grass on either side make for a much safer environment when compared to neighborhood streets.
Suwanee recently received grants to extend the trail another two miles to the Suwanee Sports Academy off McGinnis Ferry Road and then to Buford Highway.  Construction has already begun on this new section and will make an already wonderful trail even better.
Another treat of the Richard Trice Trail is the wildlife.  There are multiple birdhouses the trail housing various types of birds.  Rabbits and even deer can be spotted at various times of the day, if you are very quiet.
1.5 miles too much  to walk or need a break from a run?  No problem, the trail has many places to make a nice peaceful stop and relax.
In addition to the paved trail, there is another section which stretches from around Suwanee Elementary all the way to George Pierce Park.  This section of the trail is great for light mountain biking or peaceful walks.  Part of the trail winds it's way around a large wetland where numerous wildlife can be spotted.
